On April 21, 2026, AIC, in collaboration with the School of Engineering and Technology, Tra Vinh University, will organize the Seminar on AI for Accessibility, featuring presentations by experts from Central Philippine University.

The program is honored to welcome two guest speakers: Professor Rose Leah Joy A. Ojacastro and Professor Ma. Christina A. Quijano from Central Philippine University (CPU). The speakers will share their research and practical applications in the field of AI, offering an international perspective and updates on the latest technology trends.

The event will take place on 21/04/2026 at Room C51.202 – School of Engineering and Technology, featuring two main seminars:

  • 08:30 – 09:15: “Alt Text Using Natural Language Processing Algorithm” – introducing the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically generate image descriptions, improving information accessibility for users.
  • 09:30 – 10:15: “Obstacle Detection for the Blind Using You Only Look Once (YOLO) Algorithm” – presenting the application of the YOLO model for real-time obstacle detection, helping visually impaired individuals move more safely.

This is an important opportunity for students in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at Tra Vinh University to access AI technologies, directly interact with international experts, and broaden their future academic and research directions. The organizers encourage full participation from students to make the most of this learning opportunity.
